Yummy Granola Bars

This is my favorite granola bar recipe. I discovered it this summer and have made these at least a half dozen times. They always turn out delicious. I made another batch last night, and remembered I should share this recipe here.

These are so easy to make!

2 cups rolled oats (not the quick cooking kind)
1/2 cup chopped peanuts, almonds, or cashews
1/4 cup oat bran
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2/3 cup honey
2/3 cup peanut, almond, or cashew butter

Preheat oven to 300.

Combine the oats, chopped nuts, oat bran, & sesame seeds in a large bowl. In a small bowl, cream the honey with the nut butter until thoroughly blended. Scrape the mixture over the oats, nuts, and seeds and mix well. Pat into a round pie pan (or a 11x7 baking dish will do if you don't have a pie pan). Bake for 35 mintues. Score deeply with a knife while warm. Allow to cool completely, then devour.

You're welcome. It's taking a lot of will power today to not eat the whole damn pan of these things!

I haven't tried it yet, but I would have to hypothesize that a 1/2 cup of dried cranberries added to this recipe would be divine.

These sound pretty awesome. I'm imagining adding chocolate chips...
